What is the purpose of having a Cancer / Moon / Fourth house dominant in the chart?
You were born with a chart that strongly emphasizes the energy of Cancer. In this life, you are meant to embody the archetype of the mother, the nurturer and the protector and to display its positive qualities, namely nurturing, protectiveness, sensitivity and care. You may have lacked these qualities in your prior lives or you were unable to use them properly, so you were blessed with an extra dose this time around. You came into this life equipped with this particular energy so that you could fulfil your life purpose or reach an important goal, which eluded you in the previous incarnations. On top of that, this dominant will help you grow and evolve on a personal level, which is the ultimate purpose of every incarnation.
So how can you grow and evolve? It seems that you came here to do one or more of the following: to nurture others, to be supportive and protective of them and to help them grow. You are learning how to open your heart and be vulnerable, how to be comfortable with your sensitivity and show your love and care to others. This time around, it's about your feelings. What do you care about? If you weren't afraid, what would you express? If you didn't worry about rejection, how would you show others how much you care about them?
You were given this dominant so that you could break free from insensitivity and stoicism and focus your attention on your emotional world instead. You are here to express your feelings and not shy away from what is in your heart. Your purpose is to be the nurturer and the caretaker of others. Your warmth and gentleness are your greatest assets. They were given to you so that you could offer them to others, no strings attached, simply because you want to make sure that others feel nurtured and safe around you. What you bring to the world is your tender heart and your willingness to be vulnerable, which allow others to open up as well. You are here to be the mother, the nurturer and the protector.
