Karmic analysis can be done in many different ways. There are certain parts of the chart that are going to be included in the analysis more often than not and certain others that may or may not be used, depending on the astrologer. While the approach to analysis may differ from one astrologer to the next, there are certain components that are going to be a part of it no matter what. In this article, we are going to take a look at the steps of karmic analysis that are going to be present no matter what kind of technical approach the astrologer chooses.
1. Identify the problem area and the limiting behavioral patterns of the individual
First, we have to identify where the individual's stumbling blocks are and how they present themselves. This is the life area that has caused the individual issues in their past live/lives. These issues are brought forth once again to be re-examined and potentially let go of.
2. Figure out what were the underlying reasons for the blockages
When we have a clearer idea of the limitations that the individual has struggled with in their past life, we need to figure out why this happened. In this part, we are trying to uncover the underlying reasons why the individual struggled; they may have been internal or external.
3. Identify how these blockages are present in the person's current life and how they are holding the individual back
Once we understand what the major past life stumbling block was, we can focus on how this block is still present in the individual's current life. How are the past circumstances or the old behavioral patterns repeating itself and how are they holding the individual back? What are the inherent fears, wounds and deep attachments that the individual still carries within?
4. Understand the basic needs of the individual in the current life
At this point, we can focus on the individual's current incarnation. What does their primary triad (Sun, Moon and Ascendant) look like and how do these placements represent a logical continuation of their past life themes? What is the individual meant to learn/take/use from their past experience? How are their primary placements encouraging them to evolve?
5. Explain how the individual can move past the blockages and achieve personal growth
Once we have gained an understanding of both the past life issues that have been brought into the current life, as well as who the individual is meant to embody in this life, it's time to summarize all the information. In this part, we are focusing on what needs to be done by the individual in order to balance out their past life situation and achieve personal growth.
6. Offer solutions that lead to personal growth
To conclude the analysis, we look at what potential steps the individual could take if and when they felt ready to break away from their past patterns. How can they get past their blockages and what kind of new behavioral patterns are they encouraged to take on? What
is the best way for them to grow? How is their birth chart helping them to achieve this goal?
